SkinGPT privacy disclosures — November 2, 2026

SkinGPT is operated by SoniaGenix. It provides cosmetic skincare guidance, with recommendations focused on SoniaGenix products. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or medication compatibility advice. Please do not submit medical records or other protected health information.

Information we process and why

• Account information: account identifiers used to connect your SoniaGenix account, authenticate requests, and keep your information separate from other accounts. Sign-in happens through the account authorization flow; do not send passwords or authentication secrets in chat.
• Skincare inputs and responses: the skin type, cosmetic goals, product preferences, lifestyle details, and requests sent to a SkinGPT tool, together with its response. We store these interactions to provide conversational continuity. This does not give SkinGPT access to your entire ChatGPT chat.
• Profile notes: selected skincare information derived from submitted inputs. Notes may summarize tool inputs and are not necessarily exact quotations. New information can replace earlier preferences. Advice calls can update this profile even if you do not save a proposed routine.
• Routines: proposed routines, the version you choose to save, and earlier saved versions so you can review or restore them. Saving a profile note or interaction is separate from choosing a current routine.
• Photos and derived readings: if you choose photo analysis, we process the photo or visual information submitted with the tool and may save a derived skin snapshot. A snapshot is AI-generated information, not a medical finding. The separate Skin Discovery website feature can save scan readings and, only if you opt in, encrypted source photos.
• AI simulations: only after separate consent and confirmation that you are an adult, we process the submitted face photo to generate an illustrative image. SkinGPT does not save that source photo in your account for this simulation. We retain a consent record containing the consent version, adult confirmation, products/effects, time, and an output fingerprint. The simulation is not a prediction or guarantee.
• Approximate location: with your permission, the ChatGPT plugin uses a coarse city or region shared by ChatGPT to fetch weather and adapt cosmetic guidance. It does not request your street address or precise GPS coordinates. The website's location options are separate and should be described in its own collection notice.

Consent and choices

The plugin explains storage and profile updates before the first advice or proposal call and asks whether you want to continue. You can decline, skip optional photos and simulations, or decline location use. Separate confirmation is required to keep a proposed routine as your current routine. Do not include medical or other sensitive information in cosmetic preference fields. Where sensitive information is legally permitted and strictly necessary for an optional feature, we explain the purpose and obtain appropriate consent before processing it.

Recipients

SoniaGenix operates the account and storage systems. OpenAI processes information for hosted AI features, including optional simulations, and independently operates ChatGPT. Some text generation runs on SoniaGenix's local model infrastructure and can fall back to OpenAI. Infrastructure providers process data as needed to host and secure the service. A weather provider receives the location needed to retrieve conditions. Provider processing is subject to the applicable service agreements and settings; SkinGPT's account deletion does not delete copies held in your ChatGPT history. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

These periods apply to SoniaGenix's application stores. Expiry is enforced by scheduled maintenance while the application is running; cleanup can be delayed during outages. Deleting account data does not immediately remove copies in backups or records held separately by ChatGPT and other service providers.

Backups and operational logs

The configured backup schedule keeps hourly database snapshots for 48 hours and one daily database snapshot for up to 30 days. File backups are retained daily for 14 days, with weekly snapshots retained for up to 35 days. Account information already included in a backup can therefore remain after deletion from the live application until the corresponding backup expires. Backup restoration and legal preservation requirements can affect deletion handling; contact us about a specific request.

Web gateway access logs are rotated daily with 14 rotations retained. They can contain connection information such as IP addresses and requested URLs. Other system and application journals currently have no configured fixed maximum retention period and remain until maintenance or storage-limit rotation removes them. These operational records support security, troubleshooting and service operation. Contact us for access or deletion assistance concerning operational records; account deletion does not itself remove all operational logs.

ChatGPT conversations, uploads and AI-service copies are subject to the respective provider's retention settings and agreements, separately from these application stores. Before using an optional photo feature, review its collection notice.

Access, correction, export, and deletion

Sign in to your SoniaGenix account and open Your Chats & Data. Download my data exports stored conversations, profile notes, snapshots, routines and versions, simulation consent records, and other supported account data. Delete all my data requests removal from these SkinGPT application stores. If deletion reports a failure, retry or contact support; do not assume the request completed. Deleting a single conversation is different from deleting the durable profile and all account data. Disconnecting the ChatGPT plugin stops that connection but does not itself delete previously saved SkinGPT information.

To correct a cosmetic profile note, ask SkinGPT to show your saved cosmetic notes, identify the note and replacement, and request or confirm that correction. The correction changes that note, not historical chats, photo readings or the saved routine. Medical or sensitive notes are excluded from this in-chat view; use the full account export and contact support for assistance. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing or withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not undo processing already completed.
